Fox was one of the nations leading pistol shooters of her time and the foremost female pistol champion in the history of the United States shooting sports. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother who was a member of the elite U.S. Army Reserve Pistol Team. She has served on the advisory Board of Directors of the Civilian Marksmanship Program, and is a current member of the Pistol Committee for the NRA. Fox also served on the International Competition Committee of the NRA and served for three years as the coach of the Junior Pistol Team at the Olympic Training Center. Fox also was a face of the "I'm the NRA" campaign.
Fox has many shooting accomplishments, including many national records and awards through the NRA. Fox was also a three-time Olympian for the United States, and was the first woman to be awarded the prestigious Outstanding American Handgunner Award. She also was one of the first instructors for the "Refuse to Be a Victim" program designed by the NRA for women.
