USA Shooting Team, National Team Manager – Shotgun

 Position Summary

USA Shooting is at a pivotal moment as we gear up to be the host nation for the LA 2028 Olympic Games. The National Shotgun Team Manager leads USA Shooting’s Shotgun Program, steering elite and junior teams toward becoming the undisputed global leaders in shotgun disciplines. This critical role combines strategic vision with technical expertise to preserve our esteemed legacy while propelling our program to unprecedented success.

 Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative training strategies focused on LA 2028 Games excellence
  • Manage program budget and resources to optimize podium success
  • Counsel elite athletes in technical skills, conditioning, and performance psychology
  • Serve as team leader at domestic and international competitions
  • Create sustainable pipeline of elite shooters for 2028 and beyond
  • Collaborate with high performance staff on selection procedures and other strategic program initiatives
  • Maintain robust communication with athletes, coaches, NGB staff and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with SafeSport guidelines and Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act
  • Drive grassroots program development and talent identification
  • Unite and build powerful team culture across all program levels

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years management experience in organized shooting sports
  • Comprehensive understanding of shotgun disciplines
  • Strong budget and financial management skills
  • Excellence in stakeholder communication and engagement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of developing international-level athletes
  • Demonstrated success in building program culture
  • Experience with junior athlete development

Position Details

  • Location: Colorado Springs, CO (possible consideration for remote work accommodations)
  • Travel: Extensive domestic and international travel required, including weekends
  • FLSA Status: Exempt

USA Shooting Team, National Team Manager, Paralympic Program

Position Summary: 

The National Paralympic Team Manager leads USA Shooting’s Paralympic Program, shaping the next generation of elite Paralympic shooting athletes and driving international competitive success. Based at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, this pivotal role combines technical expertise with transformative leadership.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive training programs for National Paralympic and Development teams
  • Manage program budget and USOPC funds to achieve strategic objectives
  • Coach elite Paralympic athletes in technical shooting skills, physical conditioning, and mental performance
  • Lead team at domestic and international competitions as head coach
  • Develop and implement athlete selection procedures in compliance with USOPC and NGB guidelines
  • Oversee Paralympic competitions from local events to team selections
  • Coordinate Junior Olympic camps and Paralympic Championships
  • Create and manage grassroots development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with SafeSport guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 year’s experience managing organized shooting sports programs
  • Proven experience coaching Paralympic athletes
  • Understanding of technical and psychological needs of Paralympic athletes
  • Strong budget management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellence in written and oral communication
  • Experience working with boards and committees

Preferred Qualifications

  • Elite-level competitive shooting experience at international level
  • Track record of developing athletes to international success
  • Strong understanding of adaptive sports
